Additional information: Reservist (Lieutenant). Discharged from the German army for being physically unfit. Had a farm in Charleshill near Hussar, AB. After he was arrested, Kurt Uthemann managed it. In 1915-Sep, Schulz gave Uthemann a chattel mortgage on some bushels of threshed wheat. After Uthemann was arrested, the wheat was seized by the Sheriff under the execution of the Crown Lumber Company. The Crown Lumber Company had sued Schulz during internment for money owned from lumber delivered to the farm. Involved in the German Canadian Farming Company with Karl G. Hildebrandt (#884) and Fritz and Kurt Thaden (#887 and #883) which owned 22,000 acres near Calgary where they raised alfalfa, etc. The land was situated on the Canadian Pacific Railway and bought from them. Described as "well behaved" but "strongly pro German or Austrian". First Class prisoner. Had two daughters in the US. Does not wish to be repatriated.
